Shugyla Kilybayeva

Shugyla Kilybayeva is a Postdoctoral researcher and a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Political Technologies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan. 

Biography:

Research interests: democratization, social mobilization, political participation, urban activism, Central Asia, Kazakhstan. 

Recent publications include Covid-19 pandemic policy in Kazakhstan and Belarus (a chapter in Routledge with her co-author) and Political participation of Kazakhstan citizens (a chapter in Springer with her co-author). Currently she supervises two doctoral students of the department of Political Science and Political Technologies, Al-Farabi KazNU.
